Allowed file formats
Dear Business Partners
As you may have noticed in the media, attacks by viruses such as “Locky” have particularly increased in Germany. (More information)
Our Protective Measures:
Since many of these viruses spread through Office documents with macros, we have decided to automatically quarantine certain attachments for security reasons.
What does this mean for you?
Emails with certain attachments will not be delivered directly to the recipient. The recipient will be notified of a quarantined email with a delay, which affects the processing time of your email.
Recommended file formats for safe sending:
- DOCX
- XLSX
- PPTX
Common file formats that are automatically quarantined:
- All Office documents before Office 2007 (e.g. DOC, XLS, PPT)
- Documents with macros
